Reference is made to the stock exchange announcement published by Måsøval AS (the “Company”) on 4 January 2024 “Bid acceptance on Mowi’s harvesting facility at Ulvan Hitra Municipality”. The process is now finalized and Måsøval has signed the final contract and is in the process of taking over the harvesting facility with a formal take over within the next few days. Måsøval’s intention with the acquisition is to continue the harvesting operations and develop the facility, and planned start up is end of 3rd quarter.
“I am very pleased with the acquisition of the harvest facility, an important milestone for Måsøval in our process of vertical integration of the value chain. In addition to the increased capacity and flexibility we now control and have in-house, it also provides VAP capabilities. In sum it gives us increased flexibility towards our production and, importantly, we can meet better market demands” says Helge Kvalvik the CEO of Måsøval.

Med referanse til ikke informasjonspliktig pressemelding sendt 4 januar 2024 «Budaksept på Mowis slakteri på Ulvan i Hitra Kommune». Måsøval har signert kjøpskontrakt og er nå i prosess med overtakelse, overtakelsesprosessen vil sluttføres i løpet av de neste dagene. Måsøval sin intensjon er å fortsette slakting og videreutvikle slakteriet, det planlegges med oppstart i slutten av tredje kvartal.
«Jeg er veldig fornøyd med kjøpet av slakteriet, kjøpet er en viktig milepæl i Måsøval sin vertikale integrering i verdikjeden. I tillegg til større slaktekapasitet og fleksibilitet gir slakteriet kontroll internt over slakting i tillegg til å gi mulighet for filetproduksjon. I sum gir det oss mer fleksibilitet i vår produksjon, og kanskje viktigere bedre i stand til å møte markedets etterspørsel” sier Helge Kvalvik CEO i Måsøval.
