Niels B. Christiansen, bestyrelsesformand i Demant, stiller ikke op til genvalg
Niels B. Christiansen, bestyrelsesformand i Demant, har meddelt bestyrelsen, at han har besluttet ikke at stille op til genvalg til bestyrelsen i Demant på generalforsamlingen den 5. marts 2026.
Niels B. Christiansen indtrådte i Demants bestyrelse i 2008, og han udtræder af bestyrelsen efter at have været bestyrelsesformand siden 2017. Efter 17 år i bestyrelsen har han besluttet at fortsætte sin bestyrelsesindsats i en ny sammenhæng og har sagt ja til at blive foreslået som kandidat til bestyrelsen i Coloplast A/S.
Demants bestyrelse vil nu starte søgningen efter en ny kandidat at opstille til valg til bestyrelsen. Niels B. Christiansen fortsætter som bestyrelsesformand i Demant indtil den årlige generalforsamling den 5. marts 2026.

Med det stærke formål at skabe livsændrende forskelle gennem høresundhed vil Demant fortsætte sin vækstrejse og fortsat hjælpe flere mennesker til at høre bedre. Jeg er overbevist om, at Demants ledelse og bestyrelse med succes vil styre Demant fremad og fortsat skabe langsigtet vækst, som vi har gjort det i årtier. Der er sjældent et godt tidspunkt at træde tilbage på. Efter for nyligt at have skærpet sit fokus på høresundhed gennem en ambitiøs og veleksekveret strategi – senest markeret ved koncernens udmeldte opkøb af KIND Group – har jeg imidlertid besluttet at fortsætte min bestyrelsesindsats i en ny sammenhæng,” siger Niels B. Christiansen, bestyrelsesformand i Demant.
“I marts næste år runder vi af og takker Niels for hans store bidrag til Demants bestyrelse igennem næsten to årtier. Han har i mange år spillet en nøglerolle som formand, hvor hans enestående lederskab og dedikerede indsats for at levere på Demants ambition om at forbedre så mange liv som muligt har været afgørende for virksomhedens succes,” siger Lars Nørby Johansen, formand for bestyrelsen i William Demant Fonden, hovedaktionær i Demant.

Niels B. Christiansen, Chair of the Board of Demant, will not stand for re-election
Niels B. Christiansen, Chair of the Board of Directors of Demant, has informed Demant’s Board of Directors that he has decided not to stand for re-election to the Board of Directors of Demant at the annual general meeting on 5 March 2026.
Niels B. Christiansen joined Demant’s Board of Directors in 2008, and he will step down after having chaired the Board since 2017. After having served 17 years on the Board, he has decided to turn his board efforts in a new direction and has accepted to be proposed for election to the board of directors of Coloplast A/S.
Demant’s Board of Directors will now start the search for a new candidate to be proposed for election. Niels B. Christiansen will continue as Chair of the Board of Directors of Demant until the annual general meeting on 5 March 2026.
“I’m proud to have served this fantastic hearing healthcare company for almost two decades. With a strong purpose of creating life-changing differences through hearing health, Demant will continue its growth journey and keep helping more people hear better, and I’m confident that Demant’s leadership and the Board of Directors will steer Demant successfully forward and continue to create long-term growth, as we have done for decades. There is seldom a good time to step down. However, following the company’s recent sharpening of its hearing healthcare focus through an ambitious and well-executed strategy – most recently marked by the announced acquisition of KIND Group – I have decided to turn my board efforts in a new direction,” says Niels B. Christiansen, Chair of the Board of Directors of Demant.
