Måsøval AS (“Måsøval” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Anders Hagestande as the Company’s new CFO, effective from 18 September 2023.
Before joining Måsøval, Mr. Hagestande served as CFO at Blue Resource Group AS, and prior to his time at Blue Resource Group AS, he served as CFO at Bjørøya AS. In addition, Mr. Hagestande has served as a board member in both Filetfabrikken AS and Villa Seafood AS, as a Financial Controller at Novea Sea AS, and as a business developer at AquaGen AS. Hagestande has Master of Science (Nw: Siviløkonom) from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), with a major in finance and a minor in economic analysis.
“I am very pleased that Anders Hagestande has accepted the role as Måsøval’s new CFO. His background and experience in the seafood industry will be valuable in the further development of the Company,” says Helge Kvalvik, CEO of Måsøval.
“Fish farming is a team sport. To be granted a key role in such a strong organisation is a huge vote of confidence and it means a lot to me. Måsøval has long standing traditions and is one of the pioneers in the development of Norwegian fish farming. Måsøval is one of the best driven fish farming companies out there today, and it is a big responsibility to manage and develop the company going forward. I believe that my experience through the whole value chain and my strategic understanding can be valuable when taking part of the development of the company going forward”, says Hagestande.
Anders Hagestande replaces Gunnar Aftret, who tendered his resignation in May, see the stock exchange announcement dated 26 May 2023. Gunnar Aftret will remain available to the Company in a role as financial advisor until no later than 30 November 2023, to support a successful transition.

Måsøval AS (“Måsøval” eller “Selskapet”) har gleden av å kunngjøre utnevnelsen av Anders Hagestande som Selskapets nye CFO med virkning fra 18. september 2023.
Før han startet i Måsøval, var Hagestande CFO i Blue Resource Group AS, og før sin tid i Blue Resource Group AS, var han CFO i Bjørøya AS. I tillegg har Hagestande tjenestegjort som styremedlem i både Filetfabrikken AS og Villa Seafood AS, som Financial Controller i Nova Sea AS, og som forretningsutvikler i AquaGen AS. Hagestande er siviløkonom fra Norges Handelshøyskole (NHH), med hovedprofil i finans og støtteprofil i økonomisk analyse.
“Jeg er veldig fornøyd med at Anders Hagestande har takket ja til rollen som Måsøvals nye finansdirektør. Hans bakgrunn og erfaring innen sjømatnæringen vil være verdifull for videreutviklingen av selskapet”, sier konsernsjef (CEO) Helge Kvalvik i Måsøval.

Anders Hagestande erstatter Gunnar Aftret, som sa opp sin stilling i mai, se børsmelding 26. mai 2023. Gunnar Aftret vil forbli tilgjengelig for Selskapet i rollen som finansiell rådgiver inntil senest 30. november 2023 for å støtte en vellykket overgang.
