DENNE SELSKABSMEDDELELSE INDEHOLDER INTERN VIDEN
En historisk stor ordre på et tocifret millionbeløb fra den skandinaviske batterikoncernen NOVO Energy betyder, at FOM Technologies i dag opjusterer omsætningsguidance for regnskabsåret 2023 med ca. 22 pct. Ordren udgør en milepæl for FOM Technologies, der nu skal levere avanceret slot die coating udstyr til en af Europas største batterifabrikker nær Göteborg og dermed understøtte kritisk forskning og udvikling af fremtidens batteriteknologi sammen meden international front-runner inden for den globale grønne omstilling.
“Vi har lige siden vores fødsel som spin-out fra DTU og senere børsnotering øget relevansen af vores teknologi i de mest toneangivende grønne industrier. Vi er kontinuerligt lykkedes med at levere på de løfter, som vi har sat markedet og vores investorer i udsigt. Nu skal vi hjælpe NOVO Energy med at udvikle effektiv lagring af energi; et kritisk forskningsområde, hvor både konkurrenceniveauet, efterspørgslen og gevinsten i form af bæredygtigt impact er på højeste niveau,“ siger CEO Michael Stadi.
Den stigende globale efterspørgsel på forskningsudstyr til solenergi- og batteri-industri driver den internationale vækst for danske FOM Technologies, og interessen for den unikke slot die teknologi i form af selskabets R/D-udstyr breder sig fra forskningsmiljøer og ind i flere og flere kommercielle virksomheder.
FOM Technologies træder ind i den grønne omstillings superliga
Målet for kunderne er, uanset branche, at udnytte FOM Technologies unikke teknologi til hurtigere at udvikle højteknologiske løsninger som svar på en række globale udfordringer, hvor forskere arbejder for at finde langtidsholdbare løsninger.
“Vi udvider gang på gang applikationsmulighederne for vores teknologi i nye brancher, og vores udstyr accelererer markant forskning og udvikling hos en række kommercielle og statslige aktører i den grønne omstilling. Vores kundeliste tæller Fortune 500 selskaber, verdens førende universiteter og Det Amerikanske Energiministerium, og for et par uger siden solgte vi endnu en maskine til et globalt MedTech-selskab. Vi træder med denne historisk store enkeltordre nu ind i den grønne omstillings superliga. Erkendelsen af denne bredde og relevans af vores teknologi gør os alle stolte og ydmyge, og jeg vil gerne takke hele holdet for deres ildhu og opbakning i forløbet op til underskrivelsen af denne milepæl for vores virksomhed,” udtaler Michael Stadi.
Nyt domicil ud til Øresund med et stænk af Danmarkshistorie
FOM Technologies og selskabets 32 medarbejdere har netop flyttet domicilet fra Islands Brygge og ud i større lokaler på en af Amagers historiske ejendomme i Kastrup med plads til udvidelse af teamet og endnu lettere adgang til den verden, som udgør selskabets kundebase.
“FOM Technologies er som virksomhed “born global” – både hvad angår kunder og ansatte – og dét prædikat lever vi fortsat op til, men vi omfavner vores danske rødder og udgangspunkt. Derfor har vi placeret vores nye hovedkvarter cirka 7 minutters gang fra Kastrup Lufthavn i en netop topmoderniseret kampestensbygning fra 1752, hvor vores medarbejdere får lys, luft og udsigt til det Øresund, som gennem historien har betydet så meget for Danmark og været porten ind og ud til den store verden for et lille land med en veldokumenteret international stor betydning. Danmark har til trods for vores ringe størrelse altid gjort sig gældende langt over vores vægtklasse. Den fortælling vil vi lade os inspirere af i vores fortsatte arbejde,” fortæller Michael Stadi.
Selskabets opjustering af omsætningsforventningerne med 22 pct. understøtter FOM Technologies generelle vækstrejse og stigende kommercialisering, hvorfor selskabets tidligere udmeldte ambition om notering på Main Market – Small Cap Copenhagen inden udgangen af 2023 fastholdes. FOM Technologies fastholder desuden forventningerne til regnskabsårets positive EBITDA-resultat på DKK 2-5 mio.

A historically large order of a double-digit million amount from the Scandinavian battery group NOVO Energy means that FOM Technologies is today raising revenue guidance for the financial year 2023 by approx. 22 per cent. The order represents a milestone for FOM Technologies, which will now deliver advanced slot die coating equipment to one of Europe’s largest battery factories near Gothenburg and thus support critical research and development of future battery technology together with an international front-runner within the global green energy transition.
“Ever since our birth as a spin-out from DTU and later our IPO, we have increased the relevance of our technology in the most trend-setting green industries. We have continuously succeeded in delivering on the promises that we have set the market and our investors in view. Now we’ll help NOVO Energy develop efficient energy storage; a critical research area where both the level of competition, the demand and the gain in terms of sustainable impact are at the highest level,” says CEO Michael Stadi.
The increasing global demand for research equipment for the solar energy and battery industry is driving the international growth of Danish FOM Technologies, and interest in the unique slot-die technology in the form of the company’s R/D equipment is spreading from research institutions into many commercial enterprises.
FOM Technologies enters the super league of the green energy transition.
The goal for customers, regardless of industry, is to utilize FOM Technologies’ unique technology to more quickly develop high-tech solutions in response to a number of global challenges, where researchers work to find long-lasting solutions.
“We are time and again expanding the application possibilities for our technology in new industries, and our equipment significantly accelerates research and development at a number of commercial and governmental actors in the green transition. Our customer list includes Fortune 500 companies, world leading universities and the US Department of Energy, and a few weeks ago we sold another machine to a global MedTech company. With this historically large single order, we are now entering the super league of the green transition. New domicile at Oresund with a splash of Danish history
FOM Technologies and the company’s 32 employees have just moved their domicile from Islands Brygge to larger premises on one of Copenhagen’s historic properties in Kastrup, with room for expanding the team and even easier access to the entire world, which makes up the company’s customer base.
“FOM Technologies as a company is “born global” – both in terms of customers and employees – and we continue to live up to that predicate, but we embrace our Danish roots and starting point. That is why we have located our new headquarter approximately 7 minutes’ walk from Kastrup Airport in a recently modernized boulder building from 1752, where our employees have light, air and a view of Oresund, which throughout history has meant so much to Denmark and been the gateway in and out to the wider world for a small country with a well-documented international significance. The company’s upward adjustment of revenue expectations by 22 per cent. supports FOM Technologies’ general growth journey and increasing commercialization, which is why the company’s previously announced ambition to list on the Main Market – Small Cap Copenhagen before the end of 2023 is maintained.
