GRK Sverige AB has won the Oxberg bridge project. This is a turnkey contract in which GRK acts as the main contractor responsible for the design and implementation of the road and railway bridge. The total value of the project is approximately SEK 183 million, or approximately EUR 16.6 million.

The client of the bridge project is the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, with which GRK signed an agreement on the project on 30 September 2025.
The Oxberg Bridge crosses the river Österdalälven in the Dalarna province. It is one of the few combined road and railway bridges in Sweden. The purpose of the project launched by Trafikverket is to replace the old combined bridge with two separate bridges, one for road traffic and one for rail traffic.The project design phase will start in the autumn. Construction will commence in January 2026 and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2028. In addition to the construction of bridges, the contract also includes track work and the construction of connecting roads.
“We have recently announced several new bridge projects in Sweden, such as bridges over Leipikälven, Vindelälven, Långsleå and Vojmå. The total value of these previously announced bridge projects is approximately EUR 24 million. It’s great to have another new bridge project added to the order backlog,” says Carl Andersson, CEO, GRK Sverige AB.
The design of the Oxberg railway bridge took place through an architectural competition. It was won by the Danish company Dissing+Weitling with their proposal “Kinetik”. The railway bridge to be constructed is made entirely of steel and has no concrete superstructure.
“The construction work will cause long interruptions in railway traffic, and construction over waterways presents special challenges, but at GRK, we have a lot of expertise in similar projects. The Oxberg Bridge will become a regionally important landmark.”

GRK Sverige AB on voittanut Oxbergin siltaprojektin. Kyseessä on kokonaisurakka, jossa GRK toimii pääurakoitsijana vastaten maantie- ja rautatiesillan suunnittelusta sekä toteutuksesta. Projektin kokonaisarvo on 183 miljoonaa kruunua, eli noin 16,6 milj. euroa.

Siltaprojektin tilaaja on Ruotsin väyläviranomainen Trafikverket, jonka kanssa GRK allekirjoitti projektia koskevan sopimuksen 30.9.2025.
Oxbergin silta ylittää Österdalälven-joen Dalarnan maakunnassa. Kyseessä on yksi harvoista Ruotsin yhdistetyistä tie- ja rautatiesilloista. Trafikverketin käynnistämän projektin tarkoituksena on korvata vanha yhdistetty silta kahdella erillisellä sillalla, joista toinen on tarkoitettu maantie- ja toinen rautatieliikenteelle.Projektin suunnitteluvaihe käynnistyy syksyllä. Rakentaminen alkaa tammikuussa 2026, ja projektin odotetaan valmistuvan vuoden 2028 loppuun mennessä. Siltojen rakentamisen lisäksi urakkaan sisältyy myös raidetöitä sekä liittymäteiden rakentamista.
”Olemme tiedottaneet viime aikoina useista uusista voitetuista siltaprojekteista Ruotsissa, kuten Leipikälvenin, Vindelälvenin, Långsleån ja Vojmån yli rakennettavista silloista. Näiden aiemmin tiedotettujen siltaprojektien kokonaisarvo on noin 24 miljoonaa euroa. On hienoa saada tilauskantaan jälleen uusi siltaprojekti”, GRK Sverige AB:n toimitusjohtaja Carl Andersson sanoo.
Oxbergin rautatiesillan arkkitehtooninen suunnittelu on toteutettu arkkitehtikilpailun kautta. Sen voitti tanskalainen Dissing+Weitling ehdotuksellaan “Kinetik”. Rakennettava rautatiesilta on kokonaan teräksinen, eikä siinä ole betonista ylärakennetta.
”Rakennustyöt tulevat aiheuttamaan pitkiä katkoksia rautatieliikenteessä, ja erityisiä haasteita tuo rakentaminen vesistön yli, mutta meillä GRK:lla on vastaavista projekteista paljon osaamista. Oxbergin silta tulee olemaan jatkossa alueellisesti tärkeää maamerkki.”
