As communicated in a press release yesterday, Lime's subsidiary SportAdmin's IT environment has been exposed to a data breach by an external attacker. Information has been leaked to the attacker and Lime chose to proactively shut down all SportAdmin services as a precautionary measure. Work to restore and secure the system is ongoing and the company is now hopeful to have some functionality in place for leaders and members within the next 24 hours.
The internal and external security teams have also made some progress in investigating the nature of the data leak. As there are suspicions that the attackers have obtained personal data, the necessary procedures and legal measures for personal data breaches will be put in place. All organisations will be contacted during the day for further guidance. The teams have also managed to secure full backups and Lime expects that the services will be fully restored.
SportAdmin was acquired by Lime Technologies a year ago and accounts for about 10 per cent of the Lime Group’s total turnover. The security incident only involves SportAdmin and no other systems or business units are affected. Lime takes the situation very seriously and the incident has been reported to the police. Som kommunicerats i pressmeddelande under gårdagen har Limes dotterbolag SportAdmins IT-miljö utsatts för ett dataintrång av en extern angripare. Information har läckt till angriparen och Lime valde att proaktivt stänga ner alla SportAdmins tjänster som en försiktighetsåtgärd. Arbetet med att återställa och säkra systemet pågår intensivt och bolaget hyser nu förhoppningar om att ha viss funktionalitet på plats för ledare och medlemmar inom det närmsta dygnet.
De interna och externa säkerhetsteamen har även gjort vissa framsteg i utredningen av vilken typ data som har läckt. Då det finns misstankar om att angriparna har kommit över vissa personuppgifter kommer de rutiner och legala åtgärder som krävs för personuppgiftsincidenter att vidtas. Samtliga föreningar kommer under dagen att kontaktas för vidare vägledning.
Teamen har även lyckats säkra fullständiga backups och Lime förväntar att tjänsterna kommer att kunna återställas fullt ut.
SportAdmin förvärvades av Lime Technologies för ett år sedan och står för cirka 10 procent av Limekoncernens totala omsättning. Säkerhetsincidenten omfattar endast SportAdmin och inga andra system eller affärsområden är påverkade. Lime ser mycket allvarligt på det inträffade och händelsen har bland annat polisanmälts.
